SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, Bulacan — A Japanese national wanted in his home country for forgery and fraud on Tuesday was arrested by joint operatives in an operation in Bgy. Sapang Palay, this city.
Nabbed was alias “Okio” according to a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. by the Bulacan police.
Joint operatives from the Field Investigation and Legal Division (FILD), Technical Support Division (TSD), and Bulacan Police Intelligence Team (PIT-RIU3), in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU), San Jose del Monte City police, 1st Maneuver Platoon of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Sub-Station 7 of the Makati City Police Station arrested the suspect.
Japanese National Police representative Atsushi Kondo from the Embassy of Japan also assisted in the operation.
Alias “Okio” was arrested based on a Bureau of Immigration mission order, a summary deportation order and an arrest warrant issued by Judge Ogi Kazuhiro of the Hiroshima Summary Court, for forgery of private documents, uttering forged private documents, and fraud.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly defrauded a consumer loan company in Japan by obtaining a cashing service card using the health insurance card of a colleague identified as IMAI R.
The arrested Japanese fugitive is now under the custody of the Bureau of Immigration’s FSU for documentation and eventual deportation.
