CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Police are pursuing two drivers in a hit-and-run incident that killed a motorcycle rider on McArthur Highway in Bgy. San Agustin, this city.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Pampanga police identified the victim as Ralph Christian Timbol, a 26-year-old resident of Bgy. Maimpis, City of San Fernando.
The victim was traveling on a motorcycle going north on the inner lane alongside a red Toyota Vios car and a truck with plate number AUA 8903 on the middle lane.
The car accidentally hit the rear portion of Timbol’s motorcycle, causing him to lose control and fall to the road. He was run over by the approaching truck.
Both the driver of the car and the truck fled the scene.
A witness attempted to chase the two vehicles and was able to obtain the truck’s plate number before returning to the accident site.
Responding personnel of the San Fernando Rescue Unit found the victim with severe injuries and declared him dead on the spot.
Follow-up operations are ongoing to identify and arrest the car and the truck drivers.
