CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — An outlet of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on Capitol Boulevard, Bgy. Sto. Niño in this city was hit by robbers who carted away more than P200,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo said the robbery was discovered by store manager Hevsie Martin David at 7:02 a.m. Tuesday.
David said she found the store’s vault forcibly opened, and an estimated P193,338 in sales proceeds and change funds as well as a cellphone worth P7,000 were missing.
A review of the branch’s CCTV footage showed unidentified suspects gained entry by destroying the glass door and sliding window of the establishment.
The suspects then proceeded to the pantry area, where the vault was kept, and used power tools to dismantle it before taking the cash.
Police are conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the suspects.
