RESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday led the groundbreaking of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Allied Health Sciences Building in Manila, marking a significant investment in training future health professionals.
President Marcos said the local government project will elevate the quality of healthcare services nationwide.
Sila po ang mga susunod na haligi ng ating sektor ng pangkalusugan,” the President said during the groundbreaking ceremony at the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in the Malate district.
The government also aims to give underprivileged students the opportunity to study in a great university. Most importantly, the project is important in fostering the development of highly skilled and principled medical professionals, President Marcos said.
The President also lauded the launching of PLM’s new science courses such as Medical Technologies and Radiologic Technologies, and acknowledged the 16 topnotchers and graduates of health-related courses.
Kailangan kayo ng ating bansa,” President Marcos said.
The five-storey PLM College of Allied Health Sciences building features modern classrooms, laboratories, simulation rooms, research facilities, and faculty offices. It will be built at Quirino Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard in Malate.
