CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Two newly-identified “high-value” individuals (HVIs) were arrested while more than P855,000 worth of suspected “high-grade” marijuana or kush was seized in an anti-illegal drug operation in Olongapo City.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. by Olongapo City Police director Col. Ritchie R. Claravall showed the buy-bust operation was conducted in Purok 6, Limbas St. in Bgy. New Cabalan.
Members of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) in coordination with the Police Station 4 Station Drug Enforcement Unit (PS4 SDEU) launched the sting.
Confiscated from the suspects were seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 490 grams of suspected “Kush,” a “high-grade” marijuana, valued at P735,000, one kilogram of suspected marijuana worth P120,000, and the P3,000 in buy-bust money.
Peñones said the successful operation underscores the police’s continued implementation of intelligence-driven strategies against illegal drugs.
He assured the public that lawful and sustained anti-illegal drug operations will continue across Central Luzon to help ensure safer communities.
