ANOTHER batch of repatriated Filipinos from the Middle East amid ongoing regional tensions is scheduled to arrive in Manila on Sunday, March 15, aboard Philippine Airlines flight PR8502, Malacañang said on Saturday.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Secretary Dave Gomez said the flight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is expected to land at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at 6:35 a.m., carrying overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) returning to the country as part of the government’s ongoing repatriation efforts.
Authorities and support teams will be on standby at the airport to assist the arriving passengers. The repatriates will also be provided with assistance to facilitate their return to their respective home provinces.
The arrival marks the second batch of repatriates from the Middle East amid tensions in the region, following earlier efforts to bring home Filipinos.
The first flight carrying repatriated Filipinos from Dubai arrived on March 5.
