BIG FUEL PRICE ROLLBACK NEXT WEEK

A BIGGER rollback in fuel prices is set next week, with diesel expected to drop by more than P24 per liter, gasoline by P3.41, and kerosene by P2, as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured the public that “may ginhawang parating.”

“Batid namin ang sitwasyon ng bawat Pilipino sa panahong ito. Hindi tayo titigil, hindi tayo uurong, at hindi natin hahayaan na ang ginhawang ito ay hindi po makarating sa taong-bayan,” President Marcos said in a video message.

“Sa susunod pong linggo, may mas malaking bawas sa presyo ng langis. Dahil dito, bababa ang diesel ng humigit-kumulang P24.94 kada litro, ang gasolina naman ay P 3.41, at kerosene ng P2,” the President added.

“Mas malaki ito kaysa sa rollback noong nakaraang linggo at malinaw ang ibig sabihin nito para sa ating lahat. May ginhawang parating,” President Marcos added.

The Chief Executive also ordered oil companies to implement the reductions fully and without delay.

“At sa ating mga oil company, malinaw naman ang aking panawagan. Ipatupad ninyo ang rollback ng buo, tama, at walang pagkaantala. Ibigay ninyo sa taong-bayan ang dapat naman na nasa kanila,” the President noted.

President Marcos encouraged the public to report any violations of the prevailing regulations and assured them of the government’s immediate actions.

“At para sa ating mga kababayan, bukas ang ating tanggapan at ang Department of Energy para sa inyong mga reklamo. Kung may paglabag, ipaalam po ninyo sa amin. Kikilos kami kaagad,” the President noted.

The Chief Executive said the P10 fuel discount for public utility vehicles, such as buses and jeepneys, continues, as does the service contracting program for PUV drivers.

“Ang bawat sentimo na ibinababa ay dapat maramdaman ng bawat Pilipino. Alam naman namin kung gaano kahalaga ang oras ng bawat kababayan natin. Ang bawat oras natin ay dapat ginugugol sa ating pamilya, sa eskwela, sa trabaho, hindi po sa nakapila,” President Marcos pointed out.

The President said the Department of Transportation (DOTr) began implementing a moratorium on driver’s licenses, including student and conductor permits, as well as car registrations set to expire this month, as part of government relief measures.

“Ipapatupad din ng Department of Transportation at Land Transportation Office ang tatlong buwang ekstensyon para sa validity ng mga nag-e-expire na lisensya, student permit, at rehistro ng sasakyan,” President Marcos said.

The President added, “Halimbawa, kung mag-e-expire ngayong buwan ang rehistro mo, magiging valid pa rin ’yan hanggang July at wala kang babayarang multa o anumang surcharge. Bukod sa driver’s license at sa rehistro, extended din ang validity ng mga student permit at ang mga conductor’s license.”
