A TEENAGER and his two young cousins on Wednesday afternoon were killed by a lightning strike in Pulilan, Bulacan.
The Pulilan police identified the fatalities as Rexter Enriquez, 16; and his cousins Roxane Enriquez, 12; and April Almorade, 11; all residents of Sitio Tangos, Bgy. Inaon, Pulilan town.
Witness, 8-year-old Arlene Benito, said they were playing under a mango tree when they noticed the approaching rain.
They ran to their own houses when a lightning suddenly struck.
Benito felt an electric shock and then saw the victims fell to the ground.
She immediately informed the parents of the three of what had happened.
The parents of one of the victims called for help and rushed the trio to the Dr. Magdalena Reyes Hospital in Bgy. Poblacion, where the teenager and his two cousins were declared dead on arrival.
