PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is a man of action whom Filipinos should support, Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Vice Chairman Abdulkarim Tan Misuari on Monday said.
Supporting the President, the MNLF official said, can lead to the country’s success.
“Iyong nakikita natin na President, it’s not just words, alam mo words are easy. Pero, nakikita natin ang aksiyon,” Misuari said during a press briefing in Malacañang.
“Nakikita ko ngayon ang mandates kay Secretary Galvez kahit hindi niya sabihin, nakikita namin ang actions —so, iyan ang nakikita natin sa Presidente natin, marami siyang action, kulang siyang salita. So, let’s give him time,” he added.
Instead of dragging down President Marcos, the MNLF leader urged Filipinos to support him.
“Kung may leader tayo, mahilig nating hinihila iyong leader natin. Hindi ganoon. Supposed to be kung may leader tayo suportahan natin para mag-succeed tayo as a nation. Kasi siya ang head of state natin ‘yan lang ang masabi ko. I-conclude ko,” Misuari said.
Speaking during the opening of the National Peace Consciousness Month (NPCM) and the commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the 1996 Final Peace Agreement with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) at Malacañan Palace, President Marcos vowed to carry out all signed peace agreements with various rebel groups, not only in Mindanao but throughout the nation.
The President said the government is also implementing the Transformation Program to uplift the socio-economic conditions of MNLF combatants, their families, and communities.
