MAYOR Walfredo “Arman” Dimaguila Jr. of Biñan, Laguna on Saturday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) at the local Commission on Elections (Comelec) office to run for congressman for the lone district of Biñan in the May 12, 2025 national and local elections.
With Dimaguila who also filed their respective COCs were Vice Mayor Gel Alonte, who is vying for Biñan mayoral post, and councilor Dada Reyes who is seeking the vice mayoral position.
Dimaguila said if given a chance to represent the lone district of Biñan in the House of Representatives, he will particularly focus on four programs concerning wage, the issue on the Laguna Lake , health care and education.

It was Dimaguila who initiated a project orientation on Master plan for flood mitigation to effectively control and end flooding in key urban areas of Laguna and Cavite.
Meanwhile, around 10,000 city residents yesterday trooped to the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan to express their full support to the candidacy of Dimaguila and his fellow candidates.
