SUBIC, Zambales – Fishermen on Tuesday found more packs of shabu floating in the waters off Zambales.
Three fishers from Bgy. Matain, Subic turned over approximately one kilogram of shabu valued at P6.8 million to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Zambales.
The PDEA-Zambales said the contraband was part of the floating shabu spotted last October 14 near Lubang Island.

“The turned over illegal substances were part of the recovered floating shabu spotted last October 14 near Lubang Island. The fishermen admitted that despite initial hesitation, they ultimately chose to report and surrender the illegal substances,” the PDEA – Zambales said.
The recovered illegal drugs will be forwarded to the PDEA Regional Office 3 laboratory for safekeeping and further analysis before it will be transferred to the PDEA national headquarters.
PDEA Regional Office 3 commended the fishermen for their actions, highlighting their crucial role in preventing the dangerous drugs from reaching the community.
