A LIGHT aircraft went missing while flying over the coastal towns of Palanan and Maconacon in Isabela Thursday morning.
According to Aviation security officers, the plane failed to arrive on schedule at the Palanan Airport in Isabela.
The essna aircraft owned by Cyclone, with tail number RP-C1234 piloted by Captain Levy Abul 2nd with an unidentified passenger, took off at the Cauayan Domestic Airport at 9:39 a.m. on Thursday.
According to Cauayan Aviation police station chief Capt. Eduard Caballero the plane failed to arrive at its destination.
Caballero said they immediately coordinated with the Cauayan airport tower after they lost communication with the aircraft.
Authorities tried but failed to contact the plane’s radio , as well as the mobile phones of the pilot.
Search and investigation are ongoing.
