AUTHORITIES are conducting an investigation into the death on Saturday of a Philippine Navy trainee at the Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command (NETDC) grounds in Bgy. West Dirita, San Antonio, Zambales.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. identified the fatality as Adrian Asence, 26, a resident of 5 Pin St., Rodolfo Compound, Bgy. West Dirita, San Antonio municipality.
Asence and his other classmates were sitting on the training grounds and waiting for their training officer when he suddenly collapsed, prompting other trainees to rush him to the NETDC Hospital.
Attending physician Dr. Maj. Iris Anne Santa Maria Parcon declared Asence dead upon arrival.
The family of Asence sought the help of the Scene of the Crime Office (SOCO) personnel for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
