ASSASSINS on Saturday shot dead a village councilman in Bulacan.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. by the Bulacan police identified the victim as Joel Alvaro, 49, councilor of Bgy. Sumandig in San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
Alvaro was inside his eatery in Bgy. Sta. Catalina Matanda, San Ildefonso,when one of the suspects acted as customer.
Once inside, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times before fleeing.
Police are pursuing the suspects and investigating the motive for the killing.
