TWO members of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB) on Monday surrendered to the authorities in Malolos City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Bulacan police commander Col. Relly Arnedo identified the surrenderers as alias “Ka Bonbon,” 46, and alias “Ka Mila,” 71.
According to Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) commander Lt. Col. Ismael Gauna, the two former members of the communist terror group surrendered in Bgy. Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan.
Joint personnel of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company facilitated the surrender of the duo.
Alias “Ka Bonbon” turned over one Smith and Wesson cal. .38 revolver, four cal. .38 live ammunition, and a book about Neoliberalism.
Arnedo said the Bulacan police continues its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities, and an improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
