CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna —
A 13-year-old girl on Saturday shot her father dead in Cuenca, Batangas.
The 48-year-old victim died from a gunshot wound in the head.
The girl, a high-school student, was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation.
Authorities withheld the name of the victim and the young suspect.
The killing occurred in Bgy. Pinagkaisahan at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
According to girl, she killed her father because he repeatedly molested her. She used a cal. 45 pistol in shooting her father dead.
The female teenager is now in the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
An investigation is ongoing on where the girl got the gun she used in killing her own father.
