AN American national on Friday was found dead in a hotel in Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Pampanga police identified the fatality as Robert James, a 76-year-old American national billeted at Valentino Hotel on Gloria St., Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City.
Police were told by hotel housekeeper Joshua dela Cruz, of San Fernado City Pampanga, and hotel security guard Ricardo Smith Arevalo,51, of Mt. View Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City, that they were forced to destroy the front door of James’ rented room since the guest has not gone out since February 18 and did not answer when they knocked the door several times.
The two found the lifeless body of the American in the bathroom.
Initial inspection noted that all the belongings and valuables of James were intact and there was no sign of struggle inside the room.
