MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Mayor Crisostomo Garbo (MCG) advised job order personnel to do their work with dedication and commitment to public service as he
highlighted their crucial role in serving the community.
The mayor expressed his concerns during flag-raising ceremony about some JOs who may only attend work for their salary without a genuine dedication to public service.
He cautioned against individuals attempting to instill a sense of victim mentality or feelings of being underappreciated among the staff.
Garbo said there are many aspiring individuals who seek JO positions not only for employment but also out of genuine care and concern for their community.
“Ang daming gustong magkaroon ng opportunity na katulad ninyo ngayon na makapagsilbi sa ating mga kababayan at sa ating lungsod. Huwag lang suweldo ang habol natin,” the mayor said.
Garbo underscored the importance of monitoring all JO personnel within the local government unit (LGU) to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the Mabalaqueños.
“Katulad ngayon, mahigit tatlong libo ang mga JOs natin pero kakaunti lamang tayong naririto ngayon sa flag ceremony. Kawawa naman ‘yung talagang nagtatrabaho,” Garbo said.
The mayor said he wants to maintain a high standard of service quality and efficiency within the LGU, ensuring that the needs of the city are met effectively.
