THE General Trias City Veterinary Office (CVO) headed by Dr. Gloria Digma continues its drive against rabies as it conducted a three-day seminar on rabies awareness, animal impounding, and management of dogs at the Animal Pound Center in Pasong Kawayan 2, General Trias City, Cavite.
Tayabas City Veterinary Office (CVO) chief Dr. Isagani Requizo and his animal control officers from Quezon province were invited as guest speakers in the event held on April 17, 18 and 19.

Agricultural technologist Gaylord Aguilar said the seminar/training was a project of General Trias City Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer, Congressman Antonio “Ony” Ferrer, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen and Sangguniang Panglungsod members that aims to teach everyone how to become responsible pet owners and to make the city rabies-free.
Aguilar said the seminar was attended by representatives from the homeowners association of the 33 barangays in the city.
Digma thanked Requizo and his animal control officers for sharing their expertise and best practices in handling pets.

It was the eight time the Animal Control Unit of Tayabas City was invited in the province of Cavite to share their knowledge on animal management.
The group was earlier invited as speakers regarding rabies and animal control in Tanza, Trece Martirez, Naic, Bailen, Magallanes, GMA, and Carmona City.
