The provincial government of Pampanga on Monday extended medical treatment to some 42 children suffering with leukemia and liver problems.
Pampanga Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda said the project was the highlight of his birthday celebration by bringing smiles to 31 children with leukemia and 11 other kids who have liver ailments.
The celebration was followed by a sumptuous meal at a globally-renowned fast-food chain in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The governor said celebrating with a purpose imbues his birthday with deeper meaning and fulfillment.
According to Pineda the time he spent with the kids was self-fulfillment and a gift to himself. He also urged parents and guardians to remain strong in the midst of challenges.
Jennifer Ramos, mother of a 9-year-old leukemia patient, fought back tears as she expressed gratitude to the governor.
“Since day one, palagi pong nandyan sa tabi namin si governor.
Aside from the food treat, the children also received ₱20,000 cash money from the governor and another ₱5,000 financial assistance as part of the quarterly support they regularly receive from the provincial government through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
