OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday seized around 1,900 grams of imported kush or high-grade type of marijuana worth P3.135 million in an entrapment operation in Antipolo City, Rizal.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested the consignee identified as Zintaro Uy, 23, of Sitio Pantayanin, Dela Paz, Antipolo City.
The sting was conducted at Sitio Pantayanin, Pinagsamahan St., Bgy. Dela Paz, Antipolo City.
According to the operating teams, the illegal items came from America and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 9.
“The illegal drugs were contained in four plastic pouches and were declared as hooded sweat shirts. The suspect was aware about the content of the parcels and did not resist when arrested,” the PDEA said.
The operation was conducted by agents led by PDEA Central Luzon, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, PDEA Special Project Team, PDEA IS, PDEA ICFAS, PDEA CALABARZOn, PNP AVSEU3 and the local police.
A non-bailable offense for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the consignee.
