CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Four active and seven former members of the communist terrorist groups (CTGs) in Central Luzon returned to the fold of the law.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. on Friday made the announcement, adding that the surrenderers pledged allegiance to the government.
Among those who surrendered from May 1 to 14 were “Ka Gurang,” a remnant member of the Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL-Bataan) and Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Bataan (ALMABA) who turned in one unit 12-gauge unserviceable improvised shotgun, and “Ka Leonila,” from the Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL- Bataan) and Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Bataan (ALMABA).
”Ka Lyn,” a former UGMO member of the “Samahan ng mga Nagkakaisang Mamamayan sa Tabing Dagat” under Advocate of Human Rights in Aurora Province (AHRAP) handed over one improvised firearm “Deposporo;” “Ka Ayana,” a former member of the Kilusang Larangan Guerilla Tarlac-Zambales (TARZAM) turned in one cal. .22 revolver and nine cal..22 live ammunition.
“Ka Alfred,” a former member of he KLG-TAR-ZAM under Neptali Santos relinquished one unit of homemade .22 revolver, one unit of 40mm high explosive, one nine volts battery and 44 inches long electric wire coated with blue plastic; “Ka Vincent ,” a former CTG member under KLG TarZam, who surrendered one unit of improvised shotgun, one grenade launcher, and subversive documents; “Ka Rigor,” a member of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB), who relinquished one .38 snub nose revolver without serial number with four live ammunition and three units cartridge of 40mm.
“Ka Datu,” a former member of Pambansang Katipunan ng mga Magsasaka (PKM); “Ka Totoy,” a former member of the Pambansang Katipunan ng Magsasaka (PKM) to Alyansang Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) surrendered one homemade automatic .22 Magnum pistol without serial number and four live .22 magnum bullets.
“Ka Joy,” from the Aguman Dareng Maglalautang Capampangan (AMC); and “Ka Sirveng,” former chairman of Anak Pawis-Gerona who turned-in one unit 40mm high explosive also turned themselves to the authorities.
Hidalgo urged the remaining members of the CTGs to lay down their arms and take advantage of the government’s E-CLIP benefits.
“The Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines continue to encourage all remaining supporters of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army to return to the government fold and unite for a terrorism-free nation,” the Central Luzon top cop said.
