CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 on Tuesday joined the nation in celebrating the 126th National Flag Day.
A solemn ceremony and a comprehensive showdown and inspection of disaster equipment were conducted.
The event underscored the commitment of the PRO3 to both national pride and community safety.
The day’s activities began with the flag-raising ceremony at the PRO3 parade grounds and attended by high-ranking officials and police personnel.
The event highlighted the historical significance of the Philippine flag, which symbolizes the nation’s struggle for independence, unity, and sovereignty.
Following the flag ceremony, PRO3 conducted a showdown and inspection of its disaster equipment as mandated by PNP chief Gen. Rommel Marbil to all police regional offices nationwide.
The initiative aimed to ensure that all resources are in optimal condition and ready for deployment in times of emergencies.
The inspection included a comprehensive review of vehicles, rescue boats, communication devices, medical supplies, and other essential equipment.

The disaster preparedness demonstration was led by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, showcasing their capabilities in handling various emergency scenarios, such as typhoons, earthquakes, and floods.
The presentation underscored the readiness and capability of the PRO3 to respond swiftly and effectively to any disaster situation, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
PRO3’s commitment to disaster preparedness is part of its broader strategy to enhance community safety and resilience.
The regional office has been actively collaborating with local government units and other agencies to develop and implement comprehensive disaster response plans.
PRO3 director Brig Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said that as the nation commemorates National Flag Day, PRO3’s dual focus on patriotism and preparedness reflects its dedication to serving and protecting the people of Central Luzon.
