TWO construction workers were arrested by the police in the rape-slaying of an 11-year-old girl in General Trias City, Cavite.
General Trias City police chief Lt. Col. Jose Naparato Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Chester Jay Bobadilla alias “Bulok,” a neighbor of the victim in Bgy. Sta. Clara, and Alexander Bagalasca of Sitio Alangilang, Bgy. Navarro, both in this city.
Police first arrested Bobadilla on Wednesday while Bagalasca was caught on Thursday.
The duo were the suspects in the alleged rape and killing of Rheamae, a Grade 6 student and a resident of Bgy. Sta. Clara.
A village resident on Wednesday found the decomposing body of the victim on the bush in Bgy. Sta. Clara and reported his gruesome find to the police.
Prior to the discovery of the girl’s body, her father posted on Facebook asking for help about his daughter who went missing last Sunday.
Investigation showed the suspects asked the victim to buy cigarette. Moments later, the duo brought the girl to the dense part of the village and molested her.
One of the suspects admitted choking the girl to death.
Police said the suspects are facing charges for rape and homicide.
