ROBBERS hit a court office during the onslaught of super typhoon “Carina” in Bacolor, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Pampanga police were told of the robbery by court stenographer Elaine Yabut, 28, of Bgy. Sta. Ines, Bacolor.
According to Yabut, when she reported for work on Friday after days of work suspension due to bad weather, she discovered the clerk office in disarray and the filing cabinets were all opened.
Yabut said the backdoor of the court office was forcibly opened.
She immediately reported the incident to her immediate superior, who informed the Bacolor police.
The Municipal Trial Court offices were closed since July 24 due to “Carina” and resumed work on July 26.
Investigation showed among the items stolen was a cellphone.
