In a report to Police Regional Office 3 OIC Brig. Gen. Benjamin DL Sembrano, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the slain suspect as Jojo Garcia Fajardo of Arayat, Pampanga.
According to Dimaandal, Fajardo has a string of warrants of arrest for murder and robbery cases.
Prior to the shootout, the Arayat police was informed that victim Edmar Lacsamana, 26, of Bgy. Candating, was rushed to the Dr. Emigdio C. Cruz Sr. Memorial Hospital after a shooting incident in Bgy. San Agustin Norte.
Based on initial investigation, the victim was killed by two men on a Kawasaki Barako tricycle with plate number 1049 KY.

The Arayat Scene of the Crime Office (SOCO) team recovered at the clash site a cal. .45 pistol, one cellular phone, and bullets.
