A 38-YEAR-OLD trader from Maranao on Tuesday was shot dead in front of his 7-year-old son in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Angeles City police director Col. Amado Mendoza Jr., in a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., identified the victim as Jamel Binaseng Barazar, a Maranaoan businessman residing in Miranda Extension, Bgy. Sta Trinidad, Angeles City.
Barazar’s son told probers that prior to the shooting incident, an unidentified suspect called his father. When the victim approached, the suspect fired four successive gunshots.
The boy said his father fell bloodied on the pavement while the gunman fled on a getaway motorcycle.
Four empty shells from a cal. 9mm were recovered at the crime scene.
The Angeles City police are conducting follow-up operations to arrest the suspect.
