SUSPECT IN MURDER OF PATIENT INSIDE CAVITE HOSPITAL SURRENDERS

ONE of the three suspects in the shooting of a female patient in Cavite on Thursday surrendered to Dasmarinas City Mayor Jenny Austria Barzaga and police chief Lt. Col. Julius Balano.

Alias “Rommel,” yielded  to Mayor Barzaga at 3:10 a.m. Thursday.

Victim Chatty Timbang, 36, was in the  emergency room of the Pagamutang Bayan ng Dasmarinas when gunned down on August 29.

Timbang’s mother, who was then beside her was hit by a stray bullet.

Two others—a helper and a security-were also injured after they were also shot by the fleeing gunman.

Barzaga said the suspect surrendered with the help of the suspect’s family and the barangay captain in the area.

Prior to the surrender, Barzaga offered a P100,000 reward each for the arrest of suspects

Alias “Rommel” and alias “Urak.”

Balano confimed that the victim was a police informant, the possible reason why she was killed.
