A GRADE 12 student on Friday was found dead inside a lodging house in Bgy. Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu.
Police identified the victim as Mae Fatima Tagactac, 18, a Grade 12 student from Buanoy National High School.
Prior to the gruesome find, the victim told her family that she was going to attend a dance practice with her classmates but never returned home.
The family added that they found out that the victim had arranged to meet a man she had met on Facebook.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, a room attendant found her dead.
The room attendant told police that he went to the room for checkout reminders. He knocked on the door and when no one answered, he forcibly opened it and found Tagactac wrapped in a blanket, with her mouth tied with a handkerchief.
The suspect was no longer around.
Police are hunting down the suspect who was identified by witnesses through CCTV footages.
