WOMAN NABBED FOR ONLINE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF 6-YEAR-OLD SON

AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) arrested a woman and her lesbian partner for alleged sexual exploitation of her own 6-year-old son in Calamba, Laguna.

PNP-ACG director Maj. Gen. Ronnie Francis M. Cariaga said the two accused were arrested during an anti-cybercrime raid in Bgy. Pansol in Calamba City, Laguna on Thursday last week.

Operatives also rescued the woman’s 6-year-old son.

The arrest was made following information provided by the Australian Federal Police (AFP).

Prior to the arrest,  an Australian man was found to have commissioned live distance child abuse videos involving the Laguna couple and the woman’s son over a long period.

Cariaga said officers raided the house of the suspects on the strength of a cyber-warrant issued by a local court.

The raid led to the recovery of four mobile phones used to record, live stream, and store images of the child abuse.

The PNP-ACG director said the operation stemmed from a referral by the AFP following the arrest of a 33-year-old man from New South Wales, Australia last September 19.

The AFP said that the Australian national identified the mother of the rescued child as the facilitator of the online sexual abuse and exploitation.

The man had been paying varying amounts in US dollar in exchange for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) and for the child to perform sexual acts online. 

There were no exact information on how many payments have been made by the suspect for the live distance child abuse on each occasion.

The rescued child was placed under the safekeeping of the Calamba City Social Services Department while the two suspects, whose names were withheld following legal and child protection protocols, were subjected to inquest proceedings last October 18.

Both are now under police custody.

“To all those engaging in online sexual exploitation of children (OSAEC), let me be absolutely clear: There will be no leniency, and you will not escape justice for your despicable acts,” Cariaga warned.
