RACER and businesswoman Angie Mead King was thankful to be alive after her sports car on Thursday afternoon caught fire at the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
King said she just exited Biñan in SLEX when someone took over her car while honking.
“I looked at my rear view, I saw the fire and I proceeded to pull off the shoulder. I could tell it’s getting worse because the car started stuttering around. I parked the car, got out,” she said.

King even tried to save one of her computers from the trunk, but it was already burned. She was able to save a laptop and her camera. She said the cauce could be a fueling issue.
She added that the sports car, which has been modified, was impossible to rebuild in its current state.
The Acura NSX is regarded as a luxury, high-performance sports car with a powerful hybrid engine. According to caranddriver.com, its starting price is around $171,000 or around P10 million but can go higher depending on options and customizations
