OPERATIVES on Wednesday seized three boxes from Canada containing at least 52 packs of “high- grade” marijuana or kush worth P39 million in Balagtas, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, the Bulacan police said the packages contain 52 packs of kush weighing more or less 26 kilos and with a standard drug price amounting to P39 million.
Probers said Reina Infante, 44, of Blk. 2 Expansion, Lot 8, Northville 6, Bgy. Santol Balagtas, Bulacan, informed the Balagtas police that her husband, Melchor Atim, received a package from LBC sent by a certain Paul H. Paje, with given address at 44 Wickstead Way Thornhill in Canada.

The packages were consigned to Rainan Infante., with address at Blk. 2 Expansion, Lot 10, Northville 6, also in Bgy. Santol.
The woman said she found the boxes suspicious since they don’t have relatives in other countries. She assumed the packages might be connected to his brother who was jailed for illegal drugs.
Immediately, the Balagtas police went to the house to inspect and upon opening the three LBC packages, they found 52 packs of kush weighing around 26 kilos inside.
Authorities seized and brought the boxes to Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for further investigation.
