POLICE on Wednesday arrested two members of the Sputnik gang in an entrapment operation in Bgy. Sampaloc, Apalit, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspects as Roel Bustos, 60, an insurance agent residing in Bacolor, Pampanga; and Ernesto Samson Garcia Jr., 46, Bgy. Balucuc, Apalit, Pampanga.
Joint operatives of the Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), the Apalit police, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3, launched the sting that led to the arrest of the suspects.
Seized were around 56 grams of shabu worth P380,800 and one cal .38 revolver loaded with three live bullets.
The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, said Dimaandal.
