EIGHT people, including three minors, on Thursday died in a fire that hit a three-storey apartment in Bgy. San Isidro, Galas, Quezon City.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is verifying the identities of the victims.
Among those who perished in the fire were a 40-year-old male, two females aged 34, a 29-year-old male, a 20-year-old female, a 15-year-old female, a 12-year-old male , and a two-year-old male.

Most of the victims were found on the second floor of the apartment.
Investigation showed the fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the apartment owned by a certain Ruth Capili on Desi Nueve de Agosto St. in Bgy. San Isidro.
The blaze immediately engulfed the entire building.
The fire was controlled an hour later by responding firemen.

Arson investigators said the victims could have been trapped as the fire quickly engulfed the structure.
The BFP has yet to determine the origin of the fire.
Meanwhile, a certain Jophel Samosa, 36, who was able to flee from the raging blaze, sustained a laceration on his left elbow and received treatment from the BFP’s Emergency Medical Services.
Authorities estimated the damage to property at P3.6 million.
