HOUSE FILES MOTION TO ISSUE SUMMONS VS VP SARA DUTERTE

HOUSE Minority Leader and 4Ps Party-list Rep. Marcelino Libanan and 1Rider Party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez, in a press conference held at the House Media Center on Tuesday (March 25, 2025), explain to members of the media the rationale behind the motion filed by the House prosecution panel before the Senate earlier. The prosecution panel requested that the Senate “issue the writ of summons to respondent Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte directing her to file an answer to the Articles of Impeachment within a non-extendible period of 10 days” from receipt of the summon. Libanan was named lead prosecutor in VP Sara Duterte impeachment trial.
