THE Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s (PNP-CIDG) “Oplan Pagtugis” drive resulted in the arrest in Angeles City, Pampanga of a suspect in a twin murder case in Manila.
In a report to CIDG3 regional chief Col. Richard Bad-Ang, the Angeles City Forensic Unit, together with the Regional Intelligence Unit 3 CIT Angeles; the Sta. Ana, Manila police, and the City Investigation and Detective Management Unit Angeles City Police Office (CIDMU ACPO), arrested alias “Bajek,” 30, a resident of Bgy. Sta. Teresita, Angeles City, Pampanga.
The suspect was arrested based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court National Capital Region Judicial Branch 39 for two counts of murder, with no bail recommended.
Alias “Bajek” was implicated in a twin murder case in San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Manila, wherein his live-in partner and another man were hammered and stabbed to death by two men.
Police said the neighbors asked the victim’s relatives to check on the house in Sta. Ana and when they forcibly opened the door, they saw the bloodied bodies of a woman in the living room and a man in the comfort room.
A review of the CCTV showed the suspect allowed two men to enter their house on the night of May 8, 2024. When the female victim went outside of the house, the two men, who were already inside, killed the male victim by hammering his head and stabbing him inside the comfort room.
The woman returned to the house and she too was killed by the two men who immediately fled after the gruesome murder.
CCTV footages also revealed that one of the two men who entered the house is a relative of alias “Bajek.”
Authorities were informed that the suspect was seen roaming in Bgy. Cuayan, Angeles City.
A tracker team was sent to the area, which led to the arrest of alias “Bajek.”
