TWO students having snacks at a milk tea shop on Monday were shot dead in the City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM) in Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Bulacan police identified the fatalities as Rey Allen Nevado de Jose, 20, of Benjamine Village, Bgy. Muzon East, CSJDM; and Jeric Castillo, 23, of Bgy. San Isidro, CSJDM.
Both victims were Criminology students.
Initial probe showed the victims were having merienda at a milk tea shop in Bgy. Paradise 3, CSJDM when suspect, alias “Randy,” of Bgy. San Roque, Bulacan, suddenly arrived and without provocation fired shots at them, then fled.
De Jose died on the spot while Castillo was declared dead on arrival at the Skyline Hospital.
A CCTV footage in the area showed that prior to the shooting, a fistfight occurred between two groups.
The victims were reportedly not involved in the brawl and were only in the area for a merienda.
The Bulacan police are hunting down the gunman.
