FOUR members of a family early Wednesday morning died in a fire that hit a residential area in Malolos City, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the fatalities were identified as Philip Caluag, his wife Maricel , and their children Feliz Gabriel and Julienne, all residents of Alido Heights, Bgy. Bulihan, Malolos City, Bulacan. .
The couple’s 15-year-old son Seth Yehoshua was injured.
An initial investigation showed the family were sleeping when a fire from an unknown source started around 3:41 a.m. Wednesday.
The blaze engulfed the entire house trapping the victims inside.
Seth Yehoshua was able to escape the raging blaze.
Firefighters declared the fire under control around 4:13 a.m. of the same day.
The bodies of the four victims were found during clearing operation by responding members of the Malolos Fire Station led by SFO1 Erwin Parungao.
The Malolos City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damages incurred.
