TWO men, including a police officer, on Saturday were arrested for firing shots hitting a bystander in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Nueva Ecija police said arrested were alias “Vin,” a cop assigned at the Angeles City Police Station, and alias “Ezar,” of Gapan, Nueva Ecija
The victim was Gerald Sicad, 38, of Bgy. La Union, Castilla, Sorsogon.
An investigation showed the suspects were having drinks at the backyard of the cop-suspect’s house in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija when they started firing shots indiscriminately at a tree.
However, some of the bullets hit the victim, who was standing near the area.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the hand and arm.
Responding lawmen arrested the duo.
