A CHINESE national on Monday eluded arrest in a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raid which yielded over P1 billion worth of shabu in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Joint operatives of the PDEA Intelligence Service and National Capital Region and Regional 3 Office, with the help of officers from the Philippine National Police, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Counter-Intelligence Group, conducted the raid around 4 p.m. Monday on the house of a Chinese “high-value” target, an alias Guang Tou, on Orchid St., Timog Hills Subdivision, Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City.
Officers were armed with a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by a local court.
The Chinese national escaped arrest. However, the raiding team confiscated at least of 155 kgs of shabu valued at P1,020,000,000 and impounded a gray Lexus vehicle with plate no. TYT 841.
The seized illegal drugs were submitted to the PDEA Laboratory Service for safekeeping.
