THREE armed men on Monday set a dump truck on fire on Maharlika Highway in Bgy. Piut, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Nueva Ecija police said Faustino Paeste, 47, of Bgy. San Miguel, Natividad, Pangasinan; and Mhar Agbayani, 27, of Cacandungan, Natividad, Pangasinan reported that they were driving a Howo dump truck with plate number NEO 1902 going to the north direction when upon Bgy. Piut, three unidentified suspects flagged them down.
Paeste told police that when they pulled over, the armed suspects ordered them to alight the vehicle then set the dump truck on fire.
The suspects fled after the torching.
Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection Carranglan responded to the area and extinguished the burning dump truck.
Joint personnel of the Carranglan police and the BFP-Carranglan are investigating the extent of fire damage and the identity of the suspects.
