CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. captured in a series of manhunt operations three most wanted felons in Central Luzon.
Joint operatives of the Bamban police, PIU Tarlac PPO, PIDMU Tarlac PPO, PIT-RIU3, and CIDG PFU Tarlac on Sunday arrested alias “Echevarri,” of Bgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.
The suspect is listed as no. 4 most wanted in the region for rape, robbery and frustrated homicide.
Earlier that day, members of the 3rd MP Cabiao, 1st PMFC, and Nueva Ecija police headed by Lt. Col. Robert Agustin arrested alias “Cunanan,” 40, of Bgy. San Vicente, Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, based on a warrant for acts of lasciviousness.
On August 2, personnel of the Angat police together with WCPD PNCOs and Aurora 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested alias “Geron,” 28, a resident of Bgy. San Juan, Maria Aurora, for four counts of sexual assault, four counts of rape, and one count for violation of Republic Act 11930.
Peñones commended his men’s swift and well-coordinated actions that led to the capture of wanted felons in the region.
“These successful operations are a direct result of our commitment to the vision of our chief PNP Gen. Nicolas Torre III—delivering swift and responsive public service under his three pillars,” Peñones.
“We in PRO3 stand firm in our strategic direction: to protect the people, pursue peace and order, and promote professionalism in every aspect of police service,” he added.
