CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Two “high- value” targets on Friday were arrested following the confiscation of over P500,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tarlac City.
Nabbed were alias “Aiai,” 35, a “high-value” target, and his 28-year-old female cohort, alias “Lhey.”
Members of the Tarlac Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Tarlac City PNP arrested the duo in an entrapment operation.
Confiscated from the suspects were 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000.
Both suspects, now under the custody of Tarlac police, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. lauded the operating teams for the successful arrest.
“This operation is a clear message to those engaged in the illegal drug trade — there is no safe place for you in Central Luzon. We will relentlessly pursue you until our communities are free from the scourge of illegal drugs,” the Central Luzon top cop said.
