SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SHOT IN COTABATO

A PRINCIPAL of a school on Tuesday was injured in a gun attack in Midsayap, Cotabato.

Police identified the victim as Arlyn D. Acebar, principal of the Agriculture Elementary School in Bgy. Agriculture, Midsayap town.

Acebar had just arrived in front of the Agriculture Elementary School on a car when one of two men on a motorcycle approached and shot here several times at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

The gunmen fled after the shooting.

Responding traffic officers and parents rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment.

Investigation is ongoing.

It was learned that the principal was newly transferred to the Agriculture Elementary School from Salunayan Elementary School as part of the reshuffling of school heads in Cotabato province.
