TWO women on Thursday were found shot dead and their bodies were dumped in a roadside canal in Palauig, Zambales.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Ponce Rogelio Peñones , the Zambales police identified one of the victims as “Leng-Leng,” a 24-year-old former waitress and a resident of Masinloc, Zambales.
Palauig police chief OIC Capt. Leoven Eduagen said one of the residents in Purok 5, Bgy. Salaza was about to sleep when she heard a high-speed vehicle heading south passed by. Minutes after, the resident heard successive gunfires but ignored it.
The witness said when she woke up the next day, she saw two women with gunshot wounds lying lifeless in the water canal near her house.
The Palauig police are now conducting a follow-up investigation and reviewing the CCTV in the area for possible identification of the suspects
