CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Four drug suspects, including two “high-value” individuals (HVIs), on Saturday were arrested by operatives of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) in separate buy-bust operations in Bataan and Bulacan.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., HVIs “Mona,” 60, and “Suba,” 30, both residents of Orani, Bataan, were arrested by joint operatives of the Hermosa police, Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Bataan Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 3 in an entrapment operation in Bgy. Cataning, Hermosa, Bataan.
Seized from the suspects were two large knot-tied sachets containing shabu weighing around 305 grams valued at P2,074,000, and a cal. .38 revolver.
Earlier that day, anti-drug operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit, San Jose Del Monte police arrested in Bgy. Sto. Cristo, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan alias “Eric,” 41, and alias “Al,” 47, for possession of some 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000.
“These accomplishments are clear manifestations of our unwavering commitment to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs in Central Luzon. I commend our operatives in Bataan and Bulacan for their dedication and teamwork,” Peñones said.
“Rest assured, PRO3 will continue to intensify its anti-illegal drugs campaign in line with the directives of our PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, while always respecting the rule of law and human rights,” he added.
The Central Luzon top cop called on the public to remain vigilant and support the law enforcers by reporting suspicious activities in their areas.
