CABIAO, Nueva Ecija — Riding-in-tandem armed men on Saturday shot a couple dead in Bgy. San Fernando Sur, his municipality.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. by the Nueva Ecija police identified the victims as Lester Keith Maglaque, 34, and Rhaea del Rosario, 34, both residents of Purok 5, Bgy. San Fernando Sur, Cabiao.
The victims were traveling in a red Toyota Wigo when two men on a motorcycle suddenly opened fire at them.
The gunmen fled after the attack.
Both victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were rushed to the Cabiao General Hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
Police launched “Oplan Bakod” to track down the suspects.
Probers are reviewing the CCTV footages from nearby establishments for possible leads that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
