MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Joint operatives on Tuesday arrested a 22-year-old construction worker tagged as a “high-value individual” (HVI) and seized an estimated P408,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Dau, this city.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Rogelio Peñones Jr., arrested was alias “Totz,” of Balibago, Angeles City.
Mabalacat City police chief Lt. Col. Efren David said the entrapment was launched at the Spillway area of Bgy. Dau by joint elements of the Mabalacat City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3 Pampanga Provincial Office.
Confiscated from the suspect were around 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 and the marked money.
Peñones commended the operating units for their successful coordination, emphasizing that the result of the operation reflects PRO3’s commitment to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs in Central Luzon.
“The arrest of this ‘high-value individual’ is another clear message that we will continue to pursue those involved in the illegal drug trade. Our goal is to keep our communities safe and drug-free,” Peñones said.
