THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported that the father and son behind Australia’s deadliest mass shooting traveled to the Philippines a month before the attack.
According to the BI, Bondi Beach shooting suspects Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, arrived in the Philippines on November 1, 2025.
Upon arrival, the two reported Davao as their final destination in the Philippines.
The Akrmas left the country on November 28, 2025, taking a connecting flight from Davao to Manila en route to Sydney, Australia.
At least 16 people have died in a mass shooting at the Bondi Beach during a Hanukkah celebration on December 14, 2025.
Forty others are being treated at the hospital.
According to reports, the attack was “inspired by Islamic State.”
Sajid was fatally shot by theAustralian police at the scene while Naveed remain hospitalized.
The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney on Monday said no Filipino has been reported dead or injured from the terror attack.
