A MEMBER of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Tuesday stabbed a fellow police officer inside Camp Crame in Quezon City.
The stabbing occurred at the office of the Anti-Organized Crime Unit of the CIDG.
CIDG spokesperson Maj. Helen Dela Cruz said the CIDG is now conducting a probe into the incident.
An investigation showed while preparing for a scheduled preliminary investigation at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, the victim entered the kitchen to have breakfast.
The suspect also entered the dining hall and allegedly brandished a kitchen knife.
The victim tried to restrain him but was allegedly stabbed in the back during the scuffle.
The duo were among the six police officers accused of allegedly stealing P13.45 million of the P141 million cash evidence seized during an anti-trafficking operation in an illegal POGO hub in Bagac, Bataan in 2024.
They were under restrictive custody at Camp Crame.
